When Kyli entered the common room, pol walked up to her

"heard about your DADA lesson" she said, "that was so... cool!"

Kyli started. a compliment? from pol? "news travels fast, doesn't it?" she said.

"you bet" dan said, ruffling her hair, "well duelled sis"

"Well, I think it was rather irresponsible, duelling in class!" Chrissy said.

"Indeed, definitly not the right conditions or the right time for a duel" Mich chipped in

"she beat slytherin!" said Dan, increduously "there's never a wrong time to do that"

"oh for goodness sake!" said Kyli, pushing past them.

Charles followed, trying to take in the large number of siblings that had just appeared.

Sei entered the common room and sat down on a sofa to finish eating his orange.

Kik climbed in the common hole next. Well sort of, she tripped and lay sprawled on the floor. ''Argh!'' The chair in front of her had a neat canary coloured splodge in the back of it. ''Kyli. Had many brothers and sister do you have?''

Kyli mimed counting on her fingers, "six sisters, four brothers and... yeh, that's it"

she paused, "what's the term for your sister's husband's brother?"

[Tessiec]

''Umm..... brother? no. uncle-in-law. but, maybe brother-in-law. maybe it's........'' Kik trailed off

"Uncle."
Sei said with a smile.
"Or something like that."

Charles moved away from Kyli momentarily. sei was on the other side of the common room, and he walked over to him- and issue burning in his mind

"how's your neck, sei?"

[.magnarock.]

He paled slightly. So he had seen.
"What. .are you talking about. There's nothing wrong with my neck."

"right, got to go post a letter to my uncle then" said Kyli, thinking of the letter in her back pocket. the second letter she'd written to Sam in four days.

Charles looked at Sei, "so you wouldn't mind if I pulled that collar of yours down then?"
