"breakfast in your house must be fun!" Charles joked.
Kyli laughed, "you have a strange definition of fun," Then she turned to Kik, deciding to include- this time. "That's rich coming from you" but she smiled as she said it.

Charles raised a hand, "now, now ladies" he said jokingly.
Kyli grinned at him, but still chucked a returning pillow at Kik.

"that;s not fair!" laughed Charles, "she's a very attractive..." he paused for effective, erning him a pillow in the face from Kyli.
She hurled more pillows at Kik.
Charles watched as the pillow fight unfurled. He found his gaze resting on Kyli. He'd known plenty of pretty girls- but she was something different. Another league. There was something about her that was special. It was like a kind of aura...
He shook his head and the thoughts returned to the bottom of his brain. He stood up, "much as I would love to stay here and be pelted with pillows" he said, "i'm afraid I have other things to do," he smiled, especially at Kyli, "I'll see you tommorrow then,," and he turned around and headed to the gryffindor common room.
Kyli watched him until he was out of earshot. Then she turned to Kik and said, in an excited, yet almost hushed tone, "isn't he just... awesome?"

Alright, Charles was fit, and cute and funny and kind, but she didn't love him- did she? And she guessed Kik was refering to Sei as the second guy- but was she really in love with him? He was just a mate- right?
She thought back to earlier in the evening, trying to work out whether she'd smiled at him with freindship, or something more....
Argh! this was starting to get confusing. What the hell did she think of Sei. She knew he was kinda different but-
"oh I don't know" she wailed, dropping her legs back to the floor and putting her head in hands.

Kyli wasn't sure how true that was. She had thought everything was so clear earlier. Charles was cute and totally awesome, and she probably did have the tiniest insiest bitsiest crush on him- but Sei? Sei was just confusing...
She knew that they were good mates- and quite close for people that had only known each other for three days. But surely that was natural after all the cr[zz] that had happened in those three days: things exploding, things catching fire, falling off brooms... No, they were just mates. Good mates. But mates nonetheless.
"we're just mates" she said out loud, but she hadn't meant to. She had a shrewd impression that she was getting funny looks from the other people in the common room. She stood up.
"I'm, I'm going to get some sleep" she said to Kik, and made her way over to the girls dormitory. She wondered if she would actually get some sleep.
