From jump.
The last lesson of the day was due to end in twenty four and a bit minutes time and Sei [still in the hospital wing] yawned as Madame Pearl gently woke him up. "You'd better get a shuffle on dear if you don't want to get stuck in with all the crowds."
He nodded sleepily and got out of bed, pulling on his robes over the top of his normal clothes so he was back in school uniform, wondering if you were allowed to take them off in the common room. He shrugged and picked up his bag, trying to recall the spell that Kyli had told him. Silento? Senesco? Something like that, he didn't usually forget anything, but he was felling a bit dead today.
He left the hospital wing and carried on down a corridor, not quite sure of where the common room was. After a couple of minutes of wandering in his surreptitious way, he came across the owlery, where a light brown owl was making a real racket. A good chance for him to use selenty. . o? sylesno? or whatever it was. He pulled out his wand and aimed it at the bird that was now squawking at the others.
"Serenca!" He said whilst doing the wand movement Kyli had showed him. The owl made a bubbling squeaky sound before falling flat on the floor. Its legs began to twitch eerily and its wings were folded in neatly to its side. "Sh[zz]?" Sei said uncertainly, quickly pocketing his wand. The bird began to gargle something and turn a darker shade of brown. "We-hell. . .that's notsogood." He mused, a little unnerved by the twitching feet. The owl stopped making noise at all after giving a loud "ghakaaa!" Sei stared for a moment before quickly backing out of the owlery and hurridly walking round a corner straight into Thornton. The day just gets better!
"Ah, there you are Sei. Feeling better now after your day long sleep?" Questioned the head teacher pleasantly, he had been on his way to post something in the owlery, but he had heard about Sei's accident with the broom and was a little concerned. Both times he'd been in to the hospital wing to talk to him about their next meeting he had been asleep, and mumbling to himself.
"Oh. .uh, yeah thanks. I was just. Just looking for the common room. I'm not really too sure on where everything is." Sei smiled nervously, wishing that the owl would continue being. . asleep? . .he hoped.
"Very good, very good. It's quite close by, I'll show you." He said, turning around and walking off in the direction of the common room. Sei followed quickly.
In under a minute they were there and Sei opened the painting with 'Audacia'. He was stepping in when Thornton said. . .
"How is wednesday evening. For you to come see me."
Sei nodded. "Yeah sure. What time?"
"About seven twenty. And bring your wand, there are a few spells I think you should learn."
"Ok. Bye sir."
Sei smiled, finally a chance to learn something. He'd been itching to go to lessons all day but Madame Pearl insisted that he needed rest. Thornton left back in the direction of the owlery and Sei climbed inside the painting. With a sigh he flumped down on the sofa, then got up and went into the dormitories to look for something.
After a couple of minutes he came down smiling happily and sat on the sofa with his legs up. He leaned his head on the arm rest and watched the fire contentedly.
[If you looked closely you might be able to see something darkly coloured tied around his neck, but the main part of it in beneath his jumper.]
