May leant back against Leo, glad he was there. She closed her eyes; tired with all the crying, "it's ok Kik. Just forget about it. I don't want to fall out." the words were exactly what Leo had been expecting to here. But she didn't sound forgiving, or encouraging. Just exhausted, drained. "May," he said softly. She opened her eyes, looking up at him, but he wasn't sure what to say. He just pulled her towards him. She sighed, a single tear escaping, "It's ok." Leo brushed it away with his thumb, "Come here." she leant towards him and his arms closed around her once again. She relaxed, resting her head on his shoulder. Slowly her eyes flickered shut. She was worn out with all the emotions of the last hour. And now, finally, she felt safe. She drifted slowly off to sleep. Leo gave a smile.

Kyli finally managed to rid herself of Chrissy, ("for goodness' sake Chrissy, I've already sent the owl- now the ball's in her court- and would you please get out of the way"), and made her way over to her mates. She quickly assessed the situation. by the looks of things, may had been told about the kiss but Leo had wormed his way back into favour. git. She scowled at him to let him know that she hadn't forgiven him, and then walked over to May,
"you ok?" she asked gently, ignroing the fact that Leo was comforting her.

Leo looked up at Kyli, having caught the look she'd sent him moments ago, "she's asleep," he said, then paused, "I know you probably hate me right now. I know I've been stupid. And I'm not expecting us to become best friends, Kyli. But, I like May."

Kyli raised her eyebrows, "I have no bloody idea how you manage to worm your way out of this one" she said, glowering down at him.

Kyli paused for second, almost feeling sorry for Leo. Almost. But not quite.
"you're despicable" she turned away.
'huh?'
'what was that about?'
'I just can't believe that he'd use something like that to trick people into feeling sorry for him and forgiving him'
'what if he wasn't trying to trick them?'
