May began to become hysterical again, "You cursed him because he insulted you?! Anything could have happened Cenizo!" she paused for a second, "There's more to it than that, isn't there? Even you're not that hot-headed!"

"Is this an interigation or what?" he asked, not wanting to hurt her feelings by telling her that Leo had kissed Kik.

May wanted to shout at him. She wanted to tell him that after what he had done he had no right to speak to her like that. But she didn't have any fight left in her. There were two people who would have made this situation OK. One of them wasn't there. The other was unconcious. And so, dropping her head back into her hands she said softly, pathetically, "I don't know." And just as she began to cry again a slightly croaky voice came up from the floor, "Hey, sshhh, it's ok. It's all going to be ok." May spun around, and sure enough Leo was, with some difficulty, Dragging himself off the floor and over to her side. Arriving he slipped an arm instantly around her shoulders, allowing her to sob on his shoulder, "Sshh," he murmered, rubbing her back comfortingly, "It's ok. I'm here." Looking up he glanced around at the others; Cenizo and Kik, saying a silent 'sorry, it was stupid, sorry'. He glanced back down at May, slipping his hand into hers in the hope that it might comfort her and then looked back up at the others, awaiting their reaction.

Reaching for the hand that wasn't around May Kik gave it a quick squeeze, as if to say tht it was alright, and she was sorry too. She then got up, and went to sit on Cenizo's lap.

Glad that things had calmed down Leo turned his attention back to May, holding her close, "Sshhh, come on sweetheart. It's ok."

May felt herself calm down as she sat in his arms, just glad to be comforted. Glad that he was there. But she still didn't know what had happened. And she still needed to. So, she lifted her head from his shoulder and looked up at him, concern in her eyes, "Leo," she said softly, "what happened? What did you do?" He closed his eyes. Because when he told her he knew it was going to hurt her. And he knew he could probably keep it from her, but that would mean lying to her, and leaving the possibility that she would find out from someone else, which would hurt her even more. And so, holding her tightly, he sighed, and prepared himself to tell her.
"I'm sorry May. Just know that before I tell you, I'm sorry." she swallowed, and nodded, now more scared than ever about what he was going to tell her. Seeing this, Leo continued, "I... I kissed Kik May, I didn't mean to, it was just the moment, but I did." She pulled away from him, and he saw the hurt and confusion in her eyes, "but... why? Why would you do that Leo?" she was shaking again now, the betrayal hurting her more than she would have thought possible. Leo sighed, "Becuase I'm an idiot May." He reached across to her, placing a hand gemtly on her shoulder, only to have her brush it quickly away, fighting back tears May continued, "I, I thought I meant something to you."
Leo looked down at his lap, taking a deep breath before looking back up at her, "you do May, that's why I had to tell you the truth, couldn't keep it from you. Because I can't lie to you." May turned away from him, not wanting him to see how much he'd hurt her, "Well if I mean so much to you why did you go and stick your tongue down my mate's throat then, hmm?" Leo could hear the hurt in her voice, knew that she was lashing out because she was upset, and hated it.
Leo knew that he was going to have to tell her the truth, because otherwise he was going to lose her, "Because I'm scared May. That's why, because I'm so B[zz]y scared. Mum loved my dad, ok, more than anything. She let herself get close to him, and then he left her. She's never got over it May, never. I've seen how much it hurts her, and I won't let myself go through that. So maybe if I treat it all as a bit of fun, I won't let myself get close enough to anyone to let them hurt me, ok? So hate me if you want May, and goodness knows you have the right to."
May turned around, watching Leo as he sat, looking down at his feet. She probably should have let him sweat it out for a few days, make sure he knew just how much he'd hurt her, but she couldn't. Because she needed him. And so, moving towards him she allowed him to wrap her in his arms, crying into his shoulder. She was hurt, but she understood. And they both knew that there was a lot left to say. But now wasn't the time. For now, they just needed each other.

Kik was partially relieved that May didn't blow up, bbut the other half was numb with shock, she didn't know this Leo.

After a couple of minutes and as the tears subsided May sat up in Leo's arms, turing to Kik, "Why Kik? Why did you go along with it?" she wasn't angry. Just hurt. And Leo, sensing this, grabbed her hand. He would step in and help Kik out if necessary, but May deserved to hear it from her first.

Kik opened her mouth, shut her mouth, opened her mouth. Then she swallowed. "Well.. you know what he was like. I just... went along with it for a laugh. I mean, " Kik sighed exasperatedly, how did she put this? "I mean.. I didn't know that you liked Leo like that. If I did then I swear I wouldn't have done it. And..." Kik trailed off uselessly.
