Kyli blinked her eyes and stared around groggily. It was the first day she'd woken up in this bed since christmas, and it felt weird. Everything was too clean too quiet. Without her many siblings, everything was different. Very different.

Ah well, no use staying in bed while she was up. Well, there was- it would be nice- but she had to get up. LEssons and all that...

She pulled on her uniform. Well, it was slightly personalised, with bright stripy socks instead of the usual grey ones, and her favourite black flared skirt, instead of the usual dull ones. Still, with a robe over the top (she loved the robes; the way they swished when she walked, and flared when she twirled around), you could barely see.

She looked around her room, trying to see who was still sleeping. She regarded Elsie's bed warily, but it didn't look like anything in it was going to stir, so she was safe. SHe picked up her satchel, already packed, and went down to the common room.

Sei was already dressed and down in the common room sitting in his usual place, chin on his knees, but this time he was reading instead of just staring meaninglessly into the fire, it was an old looking book, bound with black worn out leather, the title wasn't really a title, just more of an indistinguishable bunch of squiggles in a faded gold, the writing inside the book was in the same style and there were some equally strange looking diagrams in it.

Kyli sank into the chair beside him, "good heavens! you were up before me!" she said, trying to hide her smile in order to sound most shocked. Then she frowned slightly, "whatcha reading?"

[L died!!!! nuuu!!]

"Hm? Oh. . . nothing really, just looking at the pictures."
He shut the book and smiled across at her.
"Sleep well?"

[mely]

"yes- have you finally discovered that this time in the morning does actually exist?" she joked, not hugely bothered about the strange book. If Sei wanted to lie, let him lie.

He laughed.
"I am capable of waking up in the mornings you know. Besides, lessons start this morning as well, so I can't exactly stay in bed can I?"

"never stopped you before"

He shrugged with a grin.
"Maybe I made some new years resolutions."

[wot is the timees?]

[mely]

"you know what my resolutions are?" laughed Kyli, "to eat more muffins and do less homework" she looked around the room, "so, where is everyone?"
