He bit down hard on his lip and put a hand to his shoulder curling up slightly from the pain, she'd hit him right on one of the more painful bruises Dave had given him.

Kyli recoiled slightly at his reaction. She hadn't meant to hurt him.

He attempted a smile.
"I'm fine, just trying to make you feel guilty."
He lied easily [ah, still so good at the lieness ^^] and returned to sitting properly, hoping that his shoulder wasn't actually visably throbbing as it felt like it was doing, thank god for robes.

Kyli raised an eyebrow. Maybe Sei wasn't so different this term after all. The lies were still in place anyway. She wondered why he was lying; what truth was he tying to cover up? Still, if she tried to get the truth out of him, he'd probably just go on lying. So why bother... She sat back down, and picked up her muffin, annoyed that the cheery mood had been well and truly spoiled.

Sei chewed his lip silently and watched the dancing flames flicker softly in the grate. After a moment or two he glanced up at the clock to see whether he could use the excuse of being tired. Good, it was 10:22. He yawned but didn't stretch; it was quite painful last time he'd tried.
"I'm gonna head up to bed now, I don't know about you guys but I'm shattered."
He said with a sleepy smile whilst getting up from the sofa.

"fine! go! leave me here!" called Kli in mock annoyance, "see if I care" She pulled her knees up to her face, and faked a scowl. A few seconds later, she returned to picking at her muffin. She had out some homework, which she was attempting to do, since Kik had left and she was on her own.
then she heard the painting swing open and in came charles, and Elsie, and Donna. She rolled her eyes, and sighed. Brilliant. They were talking and laughing at the top of their voices. Jerks.
She slammed her folder shut, with another sigh, and then stood up as the bi-crew made their way over. Hoping that Kik would still be awake, she made her way up to the dormitories.
