Nina had walked with her friends to their Muggle Studies lesson. The teacher, Professor Grady??, had been quite late, and looked somewhat flustered. [ XD ] So Nina was 15 minutes late for her wondering session. Not that she really knew where she was going to go anyway. After saying goodbye to her friends, she decided that outside was a good place to go. And set off to the staircase.
Before reaching the end of the corridor, she saw Zada leaning against a wall, examining her nails in a bored fashion.
When she heard the tap of boots, she looked up.
"Nina. Fancy seeing you here." She said, while looking back down at her nails.
"What are you doing Zada?"
"Oh, so you know my name now. Very thorough of you." She replied, looking up from her nails again and straight into Nina's eyes, smiling.
Nina rose an eyebrow, waiting for a reply. Inside, however, she was grinning.
Zada looked back at her nails, then let her eye sight drift towards the ceiling. "I got sent out." She replied.
"Of History." Nina noted, looking at the door she was standing outside of. Zada nodded. "What did you do?"
"Well. We've got a new History teacher this year. So I have to test the limits." Zada started, pushing herself off the wall and standing up slightly, before shuffling back to the wall and resting her weight on it. "First I was five minutes late. Which Birling wasn't too happy about. 'Be prompt' is probably his motto. On the way to my seat I sort of sneered at McCreadie, he's in Ravenclaw, but his idiot twin is in Hufflepuff. Birling didn't like that. But it's not my fault." She said raising her hands in defence. "McCreadie's smarter than me. Anyway, have you ever been in the History classroom?" She asked.
Nina shook her head, and Zada continued. "Well there's 16 desks and they're arranged so that there are four going horizontally and four vertically. The desks aren't joined together. I suppose this encourages work..."
"Anyway. Trent and Carm, two of my friends in the best house, saved me a seat at the back. But see, there are only five other people in the class, and they're all sitting in the first two rows. Birling didn't like that either. So he told us to move forward a row."
[ seating plan: ]
"Now I didn't really feel like moving once I'd just sat down. So I shrugged at him and said 'No'. Because I said that, he thought I'd be the trouble maker and the sort of 'ring-leader' or mayhem causer, so he told me to get out of the room. I presume Trent and Carm are sitting at the front now." She finished, pushing herself off the wall and over to the other side of the corridor. She looked out the window. "History's such a waste. I only did it, 'cos I thought Cenizo was doing it."
Nina nodded, and followed her to the window. "So you like Cenizo then?" She asked, a hint of jealousy possibly coming through in her voice.
Zada raised an eyebrow, smirking slightly. "Maybe. I did like him a lot in the holidays, but he likes someone else more, so why waste my looks on someone who's already taken?" She said smirking even more, and turning back to the window.
