He avoided her eyes.
"Well. . mabye I just thought you'd never say anything like that."

"look at me sei!" said Kyli, infuriated. "I need to know if I can help!"

He looked up, slightly puzzled, but hidden behind it (not particularly well though) was anger.
"Help with what?"
It sounded nastier than he'd intended, but it didnt matter too much at the moment.

"I can't keep it down! She has my hwk folder!" he said to Charles, while chasing Kik round the common room.

"I don't know"

Kyli's voice was soft, "that's why I need you tell me,"

Sei was furious now, she didnt need him to tell her anything. He didnt have to tell anyone anything. Why would no one understand that!
His eyebrows twitched slightly in his anger as he spoke.
"For f[zz] sake Kyli. I dont have to tell you anything. OK? . . . Sometimes I get a little sad, sometimes things just get on top of me. I'm not particularly cheerful and I'm not particularly strong when it comes to this type of thing. So. ."
He sighed, seing it was all pointless.
"Just, dont ask."

Kyli held up her hands- fed up. She wasn't sure if she was fed up with Sei or with herself- but she was fed up. "fine. I won't ask" she said, meaning it.

He gave a small smile.
"Thanks."
He wiped his eyes with the back of his sleve, resiting giving her a hug- she'd probably just push him away.

Kyli wasn't sure what to say next. She stared at Sei for a second, not quite sure why.

After a moment he looked up and met her eyes. Also unsure of what to say next.
