Tenuka was pacing in her room. She looked down at her neatly packed trunk. She opened it and took out the list from the letter that was on top.
. . . three sets of black robes, check . . . one pointed hat, check . . . one pair of limek gloves, check . . . one black winter cloak, check . . . are they all labeled? . . . yes . . . she thought as she checked each piece of uniform and placed them neatly on the floor next to her trunk.

She placed all the books next to the trunk in size order, biggest at the bottom, smallest at the top. Picking up the list again, she continued.
a wand, check . . . She picked it up and ran her hand over the smooth wood. She noted a small crack in the wood right near the handle. She placed it carefully next to the books and continued.

She faced the telescope towards the window and looked through the eye piece. Once finished, she set it next to all the other things she had unpacked. She looked at the remaining things in the trunk, then picked up the list again.

Tenuka,
Please make sure you practice every day. We would not like you to forget everything you have learned. You will be going to a good school, but it will ignore your abilities, so you mustn’t. Keep practicing, and if you want to, you can take your smallest weapon, but I strongly advise you not to. Also keep up your fitness by continuing to eat healthily and by doing daily exercise. You’ll know what I mean. Tenuka smiled at that. He couldn’t be talking about ‘flying’ so he was talking about ‘running’. She looked back down at the letter again.
Make sure you take plenty of those books I gave you and stay safe.
Good luck at Hogwarts.
Yours in friendship,
Luzon, Brother of Air
She placed the letter to one side and got out a second list that Luzon had made.
+three sudoku books, your choice
+one mensa book, your choice
+one hiroshima book
+all of your uncompleted enigma books
+mancala, wizards also have something like this called gobstones, but it is magical
+if you have space, you can take the Go board and stones, but you would have to teach someone else as I cannot let you borrow the tutoring book
+you may also take your smallest weapon but I disprove and only if you practice daily
Each time she read an object, she lifted it out of the trunk and put it next to all her other things. After taking a mental image of all her things, she started to pack again.
Once done, she put both lists and the letter on top of everything again and closed the trunk. i will not re-pack it again And she went back to pacing the room. She felt herself grow tired. But she couldn't get tired. She was going to Hogwarts tomorrow. She should be excited, not tired. But going to Hogwarts meant stopping the lessons with Luzon. She stopped pacing and closed her eyes.
'Aon bith nee, niks, nullus moeg, codaihl, somnus . . .’ she muttered quietly.
She opened her eyes and started pacing. She felt the tiredness slowly disappear, like the cold seeping away from a radiator. But she wasn’t going to let worrying about Hogwarts steer her away from her training. Luzon would not approve. Neither would Mom. So she exited her room and walked down the stairs. The sun was slowly slipping behind the wood. This was Tenuka’s favorite time of the day.
‘Mom!’ she called. ‘I’m going for some practice.’
‘Sure thing honey.’ She heard her Mom reply. Tenuka walked out onto the balcony and concentrated for a few seconds on the air around her. She stepped up into the air as if walking up the stairs. Then she started to run towards the wood. Once there, she rested on one of the trees, watching the sun sink and the sky slowly darken. She climbed down the tree and sat on the ground. She played with the soil a bit then did a bit more practicing closer to the ground, each time trying to concentrate for less time. She suddenly realized she’d been out a long time when she was resting and got cold. So she stood up and walked back to the house, too tired to ‘fly’.
She opened the door and her Mom gave her an apple and a hug. ‘Good work honey. We’ll make a Masori out of you yet.’ She said smiling. Tenuka smiled back weakly then walked up the stairs to her room, eating the apple. She opened the door, walked over to her bed and sat down. Finishing the apple, she threw the core in the bin then lay down. Having tired herself out practicing, there was no need to tell herself to go to sleep. She relaxed into the bed and drifted into a dreamless sleep.
