In the outskirts of London, there is a village. It is a quiet little place, but unknown to the muggles, there are several witches and wizards living there. Not all are good. There are evil sorcerers living in a house. It is no normal house. It can not be detected by the ministry of magic. In this house, there are three floors. On the top floor are two magic folk. They are facing each other. Neither of them knows nor cares for the name of this village, or for the people who live in it.
“I need a Meta!” the women said forcefully. “My power has not been acquainted with one yet!”
The man looked at her, and then replied calmly, “There’ll be one at Hogwarts; be patient NV.”
The looked into his bright blue eyes, “Varen, I need one now! My power's not as great as yours.” She said, her eyes dropping to the floor in front of his feet.
not yet anyway . . .
“And surely whilst I am adjusting myself, one of the students will uncover my identity. And they’re bound to notice the death of a fellow pupil!”
Varen considered this. “That is a valid point Ezaron.” He stopped, took a breath, and then continued, “Fine, I will find you one tonight. They will see you tomorrow.”
“Tomorrow Varen; it must be tomorrow. If I am discovered by anyone except Anya, the plan will fail, and I will have to retreat instantly.”
“Possibly. It depends who. If it is Mr. Quintus, we’ll ignore him, but if Pravus finds out, then yes, you will have to retreat. He will alert Thornton.” He said calmly.
NV breathed in sharply, and then nodded. She looked back into Varen’s eyes.
“You will have a meta tomorrow. Make sure you kill them quickly. Or you could just wipe their memory.”
NV pouted. “Quickly . . . ?” she moaned.
Varen looked at the ceiling. give me strength He breathed out quickly. “Fine, do it your own way.”
NV smiled. “Lord Varen,” she said taking a step towards him. “We need to decide who’s identity I’m going to steal.”
“Yes we do.” He said turning and walking away. “And I’ve already chosen one.”
“Oh? And I am not allowed to have chosen?
He shrugged. “You will be Robyn Zealey.”
Varen nodded, and then turned to face her. “I need your power to capture this Meta. He is strong."
NV hesitated and stepped back slightly. “N-now?” she asked nervously, eyes flicking towards the door. “You could not ask for one of the servants power?” her voice higher than normal.
“They are not powerful enough.” He said simply. “They are not as powerful as you.” A trace of a smile hinted on his lips.
I can't escape him. He's too strong. And he knows invisibility as well as I do. No better than me.
“Okay.” She said stepping forwards reluctantly, closing her eyes and bracing herself.
Varen was close to her in one stride. He placed his middle fingers on her temples and felt her shiver. He closed his eyes too and frowned in concentration.
He stepped into her mind and glided into a room. It was a big room. Full of light, no, darkness. A black light. Dark matter. Power. He half stepped half floated towards the silvery mass. This would be where he drew out her strength. He felt her shudder again. He breathed in deeply. But no air entered his lungs. Instead, power filled inside him. He felt stronger, two times stronger. He could sense he was coming to the end of her power source, so he breathed in sharply; then floated away from her power. He turned and watched as the tiny pinprick pf blackness floated around. He nodded solemnly.
Exiting her mind, he withdrew his fingers and opened his eyes. NV’s knees buckled and she fell to the floor. A person entered the room from a hidden door. Varen watched them pick up NV from a leather chair. He saw the person put her on the bed, the his eyes followed the person as they rushed out of the room quickly. Varen stood up and drew out his wand, placing a powerful shield around her. Then he strode to the window, opening it with magic, and walked out. Hovering in the air he stepped up, as if climbing up the stairs. Then he ran through the air to the rest of the village to find the Meta.
