[muggle studies lesson, 8th of whatever month this is]
[Ok! so. !]
Grady smiled at his class as they trooped in and dumped their bags in various places and slumped down into their seats.
"Hello there kids! Had a good holiday? -Don't get too comfy where you're sitting. I have something very exciting and cool to tell you."
They paused for a moment, his tone and enthusiastic face had drawn them in momentarily.
"I have for you incredibly lucky peeps- that's muggle slang for people- A SEATING PLAN!"
He continued over the top of their groans and mumbles.
"It is a very common feature in muggle schools. It has been shown to help students both make friends with other members of their class, and improve the quality of their work! When I've rearranged you we're going to watch a video about muggles starting their GCSE's, that's the equivalent of your OWL's"
There was a small discussion, 'muggles take exams? /woah/ i thought they just, like, did stuff'
"Alrighty, everyone up! Let's get organized!"
Soon the class was seated acording to plan and watching the video.

After some shocked looks from Elsie and the other very un-muggley people [ XD]
There was a knock on the door and shortly afterwards Herschal entered the room with various measuring implements and a screwdriver on a tool belt around his waist.
"Hi C-Professor Grady. I won't disturb the class if I fix that broken beam thing now?"
Grady blunk rather stupidly for a moment before formulating a cohesive reply, "Oh, um, yes. I mean, no -you won't disturb the class that is. Just let me move the vcr."
Herschal nodded, clearly trying to remember what on earth a vcr was. His pensive frown faded as he saw Grady cross over to the large silver box on legs with something that looked vaguely like a painting in the sense that it was moving, but the poor subjects of the art had nowhere to go and seemed to have a shiny layer boxing them in.
Grady pushed it forwards on the wheels at the base of the unit and sat on the edge of Donna's table; everyone else had moved into the center of the room on their chairs, with the exception of Elsie and Donna who had sat on one of the desks further back, because they 'totally couldn't see over Sei's head'
Herschal left the room for a minute or two and returned with a step-ladder. By this time the video player had been wheeled to one side and Grady was trying to enthuse some response from the class in the form of note taking on the board.
"So, hands up then kids. -shut up elsie, thankyou- I'm going to start really easily, what do we have here at Hogwarts?" He said, writing it as the title on the column on the right hand side of the three colums he had drawn on the board.
The classes hands shot up.
"Parchment, owls, quills. Good. umm, I'm pretty sure muggles sleep on beds as well Charlie, Charles, sorry." A laugh went up from the class and Grady joined them for a moment or two in good humor.
Now Herschal was up on the step ladder, and reached up to the beam to shove it back into a position closer to what it should be in.
Grady had moved onto the left hand column, after revealing that the middle column was for the similarities between the two schools. The class was now enjoying contributing, finding much humor from each others discriptions of the strange contraptions that muggles use.
"Well, it was like a, ummmm, fontain?" Grady made gestures of a water fountain, the class laughed and Herschal chuckled quietly to himself.
"-oh yeh, a Fountain, pen! Fountain pen -laughs- ."
"Fantastic work Kyli, five points to Gryfindor!"
The class cheered, Grady's lessons were always so much fun.
He returned to standing at the board, avoiding Herschal on the ladder screwing in bolts to secure the beam. Leaning back against the ee-z wipe plastic, replica muggle school whiteboard, he looked around the classroom for another hand to pick.
Elsie was yet again waving her hand vigorously with an answer. It always made him smile when students took a special interest in his class; it seemed to take a few years for the students to become really interested in muggles though, and it was almost always the girls that were interested first, he shrugged inwardly, he'd noticed over the years that more and more boys were sharing some of the girls great enthusiasm for the lesson. Days when he dressed up like a muggle also seemed to go down increasingly well.
But while looking for another hand to pick, his eyes passed over the bare, toned few inches of Herschal's midriff, showing because his jeans were fairly low slung, around his hips, and his arms were above his head pulling the top up with them.
Swiftly he turned back to the board to hide the sudden flush that came over him, asking Elsie for her comment before his voice choked up.
"Ah, uh, yes, er. Yes. Um, yes. um, muggles, er, have pencil cases like us too. . . Right! thats um, enough for our table, er, copy this into your books please, I have, have, some marking to do."
He hastily sat down and pulled out a wad of papers.
