Up in the dormitory Sei awoke with a start from a dream about being smothered. Breathing a little heavily he freed himself from the duvet he'd somehow managaed to curl around in so it was like a cocoon.
He dressed and made his way down into the common room looking a little pale, but attempting to look cheerful. He was still feeling miserable about the halloween ball, even though he'd told himself it was stupid.
If people had signs above their heads, his would say, 'needs hugs' . . . 'badly'

"morfin? ha!" kyli said, "well you'll have to stop hanging with us anyway- blood traitors and muggle scum" she said. She saw Sei and ran over to greet him. "morning!" she said, hugging him.
