[after the eater term has ended]
Professor Castrin cleared his throat and straightened the thick bulk of the papers he held with three echoing clacks on the table. He looked over his hard edged glasses at the staff seated before him. To his right sat the administrative investigation team- Mr. Halan and Ms. Fenwicker, looking stern and forebareing, and on his left the education and child welfare workers- Mr. Strutz, Mrs. Crison and Mr. Basai.
The staff of Hogwarts squirmed and fiddled in their seats under the hard and unyeilding gaze Professor Castrin was forcing upon them. He slowly passed his tongue across his dry lips and carefully selected the precise words in which to produce maximum discomfort and unease.
"I am sure," He began, with tones of practiced displeasure, "That you have all recieved the offstead report, and if not, read it in the British Wizarding Educational Journal."
There was a long pause in which the heads of houses exchanged glances, Thornton, Saul and Madam Nox shared a look of mild dread, Professor Luvasco twirled a strand of hair, Professor Warten twirled a strand of beard. Herschel gave an 'it'll all be fine' smile to a nervous looking Grady, and the other teachers generally found their eyes wandering to the ceiling to avoid the gaze of Professor Castrin.
He cleared his throat quietly. "Well, I am sure that you will all have, guessed, or have some form of idea as to the course of action that the Magical Board of Education are going to- required, to take."
There was another, drawn out, uncomfortable silence. Professor Castrin cleared his throat again, Mr. Basai stood up from the table, crossed to the large fireplace and with a quiet murmering it was lit and a green glow flickered up. He stood back as the Senior Minister of Magical Education stepped from the fire, a faintly grim smile upon his otherwise expressionless face.
Sitting down as he straigtened his already immaculate robes, he looked around at the anxious faces.
"I have some unfortunate news for you all."
The teachers shifted uncomfortably in their seats.
"There are, -well, I'm sure you have all heard of the boom of illegal immigrants in Britain of late."
There were vague nods from around the table.
"Well, there are rather a lot of, their children, at this school, so we have found from our extensive background searches."
Especially those McCreadies!!! he yelled, standing on the table and gesticulating with pink fluffy pom poms
The staff pales slightly, most of them liked the students they taught and didnt really like the idea of them being sent away.
Drint punched the air with a fist and waited eagerly to hear which of the bloody rotters were being banished, praying Sei would be amongst them XD
"I have a list, of the students which are being deported along with their families. This will be sent to you all- I expect the information to be treated proffesionally and with discretion."
The teachers nodded, here was one thing they could agree on.
[finished for now... but tbc! to be continued at the end of the summer term!]
[edit strikethrough on the McCreedles, didnt realise i hadnt soz]
