[okay huys, this is mainly written because I was bored and felt like writing something. It's the morning of valentine's day, which, incase anyone can't read my banner, is exactly a year after May and Leo got together.]
May came down the satirs from the girls' dorms, slightly later than usual because she'd paid special attention to her hair and make-up that morningin anticipation of whatever it was Leo was planning. She was certain he would be; their relationship may not have been all that great lately but it was still their one-year anniversary and valentine's day, and Leo was really rather good at being romantic when he chose to. Besides, she'd overheard him ordering roses the other day.
As she entered the common room she first saw him, grinning and with the roses in his hand. Except... he wasn't looking at her. In fact, he had his back to her and hadn't even noticed her entering the common room. INstead he was stood chatting to a tall, slim, blonde third-year who looked as though she might not even exsist under all the make-up plastered over her face. She couldn't hear what was being said, but it was obvious that intense flirting was going on. Just as she was about to cross the room and ask Leo just what the hell he was playing at a fourth-year that May thought she recognised from the Griffindor quidditch team materialised behind the object of her boyfriend's flirtation and set fire to the roses now resting in the blonde's hand before swiftly manouvering her out of the common room.
Looking slight less pleased with himself Leo turned around, spotted her, and immediately broke into a very obviously fake smile, "Sweetheart, morning, happy Valentine's day!" effortless levitating a bunch of roses away from a bunch of first-years while she pretended not to notice Leo began his usual stream of compliments. Normally they would make her feel as though she was the most lucky girl in the whole of Hogwarts. This morning they just sounded hollow and meaningless. Swallowing back the tears she could feel threatening she pulled quickly away from hin, "Sorry Leo, just got to go wake Kyli, she made me promise, she, er, has quidditch practise." nodding as though trying to convince herself of this fact May quiclly ran back up to the dorms, throwing the roses back at the first-years as she passed them. G-d, he could be a bastard.
