[this is the Els and Charles scene mel!]
Elsie was sat looking bored on a sofa near the window, gazing out of it, pretending she was a model on the front of a magazine. bwahaha, soon that bloody Kyli will be miserable again, Charles will break up with her and she'll be oh so sad. Ahh, life is good. There is just one last thing to do. But that can wait. Who'da thought that Tobi could be such a crappy boyfriend, seriously, always so 'considerate' and 'nice' and, and. ugh, it just feels like he's trying to hard. I'll give him the usual, we're just not working. speel.

Charles came into the common room, trance-like. He navigated through the sofas without seeing them, barely noticing that he was sitting down. His mind was burning.
'oh don't be silly Sei...' the shorter of the two figures flciks hair from her eyes, and stares at her companion. She is smiling, a small but warm smile, and her cheeks are pink. He companion stares back, and neither says anything. His grin widens, she lets out a small laugh
Charles looked down to notice faint crescent moons in his palm. His nails suddenly felt stubby and weak - he wanted them to hurt, really hurt, to get his mind of the scene throbbing his head. He knew it was unhealthy, and pathetic. He was obsessing, just like Kyli had said. Kyli...
the girl shivers, 'brrr, it's cold'. her robes are thin, designed for flying, not for standing around. the boy steps closer, an inch or so at the most 'here, have my jumper'. He unties it from his waist, and she pulls it over her head, giving a little giggle as it gets stuck on her head and he has to pull it down for her. she wraps her arms round her body, hugging the material close to her for warmth
Charles stared fixedly ahead. He was being stupid. she had been cold. he'd given her his jumper. they were friends. end of story. But it wasn't the end... she had been cold. he'd given her his jumper. they were friends. she had been cold. he'd given her his jumper. they were friends. she had been cold-
He sighed unclenching his fists once more, noticing with detatched satisfaction that the crescent moons were clearer this time, distinctly white against his pink skin.

[meep!]
Elsie sauntered over, hiding the small smile on her face; Charles was about to blow a fuse, sucessssss. "Hey Charles, whats bugging you honey?" She said, flouncing on the sofa next to him, a look of concern on her features.
[what kind of tiem shall we say this is?]

Charles felt a swell of anger rising in the pit of his stomach. Elsie's twittering face was swaying in front of him, and he channelled his anger towards her, her pathetic, frivilous gossip and stupid, bone-headed obsession with fashion. "certainly not anything I want to share with you" he said angrily, finding not even those contempt-filled words could dispell the images floating in his brain.

She looked hurt. "Ohh, Charles, that was mean. I'm only trying to be nice. You deserve so much better than someone who's going to cheat on you."

Charles felt bewildered by a rush of emotions. anger, annoyance, and most strikingly, a sense of injustice - Elsie was right, he did deserve better. And then, he was hit by the realisation that Elsie was leaning close, very close. So close he could smell the soft perfume on her neck. He leaned closer...

She smiled and lowered her eyelids, catching a glimpse of Sei as he climbed through the portrait hole across the other side of the common room. She wasn't paying attention to the other people in the room though, and he looked just like another face in the crowd to her as she leaned in closer to Charles.

Charles brought his face to met Elsie, still fuelled by the same strange mix of emotions; anger, annoyance, injustice. Why should he wait around for Kyli while she ran off behind his back to meet Sei? He felt his lips brush Elsie's, and a pang of guilt hit him - but it was smothered quickly enough. His anger at the poisonous rumours, and Kyli's blatant lies, had possessed him, forcing him onwards and allowing no chance to look back.

Sei was walking in the direction of the dormitories, great, more people kissing on the sofa; you'd think no one had a love life except for around valentines- wait. That was Charles and Elsie! The kiss by now was quite, erm, kissy. "Ohmy God."

Charles sprang back at the familiar voice. It took him a moment to place it. sh[zz]. sei.
sh[zz]
He looked, panicked, from Elsie, to Sei, to Elsie, and back to Sei. His head was pounding and he felt physically unabel to form a sentence.
