It was a cloudy day, grey and plain much unlike the scene in the field. They were celebrating fire today.... They were. Sonho wasn't. She had had nough of this hippy lifestyle. Moving into neighbouring fields every day, travelling for the majority of the day, the lack of friendships that actually last and most of all, tha fact that she was always changing herself and her personality. She had had enough.
In her wagon (her grandfather got killed by a bunch of police officers two years ago), she looked out of the window. People were up and running. Moving day. She sighed trying to remember the last time she ever had a life. A proper one.
She got up and got dressed. She hated her clothes, because she was now 11 she had to wear the most digusting things. In her ''tribe'' as they called themselves, you had to wear the same colours of your family. Her family was white and yellow, they were so annoying because when they were really really dirty they looked like dishclothes meaning she had to wash them frequently.
Outside she went to Avo. She was the Vovo's wife. Sonho groaned when Avo said she was doing firewood. She hated doing firewood. It's so dirty and tiring and plain annoying.
But her spirits lifted when she was told that Silencioso was ill. A cruel thought, yet if you knew him then you would understand. He is just about the most annoying person ever. Believing he was 'magic' he would fool everyone by saying her was the chosen one. And hey guess what! What chosen one wants, chosen one gets. And to her unfortunate gift of bad luck, he wanted to be friends with her.
She was in the woods by now and she saw a perfect branch. Taking out the chopping knife she began to saw off branches. When she had around 25 branches she would stop, tie them up in string and make a bundle, then she would contuinue sawing.
Sonho was sitting down for a rest when she first saw the owl. She recognised it immediately. Hours of boredom looking out the window at birds made her familiar wiht the species. However her decision faltered when she saw the letter attached to it's feet. Could you train owls? She didn't think so. But when the owl was sitting on the fallen tree trunk in front of her, it was definetly a letter.
The owl held out it's leg and after 20 seconds hooted impatiently at Sonho. Sonho stumbled and trembled when she removed the letter from the owl.
It was thick and heavy and looked like parchment ''Durma firmemente'' she muttered to herself.
After she read the letter through 66 times. She hugged it to her chest and thanked it over and over again. It was her ticket out of here.
She ran back to camp screaming for Vovo. She ran into his wagon and showed him the letter. He understood her pain of boredom and feduppereness.
''Sonho'' He whispered
''This is brilliant isn't it!'' She jumped up and down excitedly
''It is! we must prepare immediately!''
So in the next few weeks Vovo announced they were going to London
Diagon Alley was the most amazing thing Sonho had ever experainced. And when she returned to camp she bubbled.
The morning came for her departure to Hogwarts.
Vovo made it quite clear he wanted to take her. But that morning her parents had found her letter and was refusing her from going anywhere. She tried everything. They wouldn't leave her alone. At 10:30 she panicked. She needed to get to that train!
Not caring about the dogs that guarded the camp. She grabbed her stuff and ran.
