Reading the paper

Sei cheered up a bit.
"Yes. How long do owls take to deliver messages?"

[mely]

"depends how far they have to travel- where does she live" Then kyli grinned smugly, "don't worry though, Featherby is the fastest owl I know"

[.magnarock.]

"About half a mile away from where I do, so. . thats, however far the train went, add five and a half miles." He said, assured slightly by Kyli's confidence in Feathers.

[mely]

"right, and If I had any mind to calculate that, I'm sure I would" Kyli said, "as it is, I'd rather eat chocolate" she pulled a bar from her pocket, "want some"

Charles lent back against the sofa slightly. he was under the impression that he was never quite part of the picture when Kyli was talking to Sei...

[.magnarock.]

He grinned.
"Thanks."
He took a bite and pulled his legs up onto the sofa. He sighed.

[mely]

"sighing again?"

[.magnarock.]

He rolled his eyes.
"You forget that I have a reason to sigh."
He smiled.
"How long do you think I'll have to wait?"

[mely]

"hmmm," Kyli pretending to be counting on her fingers, "If she receives it and replies straight away, no more than a day. If Featherby flies faster, that could be shorter. If she decides to take longer to reply, I really cannot judge"

[.magnarock.]

Sei thought for a moment.
"So. . . she'll probably get it when she gets back from school. . .Hopefully she'll reply straight away. Ok. . So, I'll check tomorrow morning." He said with a smile twiddling the rosary in his fingers.

[mely]

"stop worrying!" kyli said, faking punching him "it'll b fine. She loves you. end of story"

For some reason, Charles felt a strange surge of releif at that, but didn't show it.
