Jaxio was lolling by the fire in the common room. It was the end of their second monday of term, and he was busy thinking. His gang were seated around him- although he doubted any of them were actually thinking. thick as two planks, the lot of them...

Catherine came in alone, her friends all wanted to do some silly extra credit thing for charms, she hated charms. So she sat down on one of the sofa's and flicked through a magazine.

Jack noticed the poster for the halloween. Shame it was individual years... some of the first year girls were quite good looking really...

Catherine was a little saddened by the fact there was a first years ball, and not a first and second years ball. Ah well, next year there was one for both years.

Zada noticed some people looking at the notice board. She browsed their minds. So there was a ball? 'cool! i wonder if some years go together?' she stood up and walked over to the board. She barged people out the way. 'For separate years! that's rubbish!' and she sulked back to the sofa.
