[this date starts from some time late sunday afternoon,/ early Sunday evening, and finishes late-ish. It is also very corny and embarrassing, ut I thought they needed another date...]
Kyli felt herself being led away from the group by Charles. She looked at him expectantly, and he just grinned. They made their way up a flight of stairs that Kyli had only ever been up to go to the owlery or astronomy. Charles ducked away from the main corridor, and into a torch lit sidewalk. Then, another smooth turn, and they were facing a small flight of brass stairs.
“ladies first” Charles said, indicating the stairs with his arm. Kyli climbed up cautiously, feeling Charles behind her. At the top, she reached an opening, which she pushed her head through. A cold night breeze it her face.
“go on Kyli” said Charles, and she pulled the rest of her body out the opening. And looked around. They were on the edge of one of the castle’s turrets, standing in an alcove. Charles came out of the opening and put his arm around her.
“look” he said softly, and indicated the scene in front of them. Kyli stared around. The view was amazing. A thousand stars filled the sky, and below the castle grounds stretched out into the distance. If you looked closely, you could see the hoops on the quidditch pitch.
“it’s beautiful” she whispered. Charles moved her onto a ledge, and the sat down, side by side. Kyli stared out at the view in front of her. It was so amazing.
“I thought you might like it” Charles said, putting his arm around her. Kyli rested her head against his shoulder, sighing happily. Everything was so, perfect.
They sat like that for ages, staring out into the night sky. They talked lightly about nothing in particular, and often lapsed into a contented silence. After some time, however, charles broke the magic,
“you’re getting cold” he said to Kyli. She opened her mouth to contradict him, but yawned instead, and then shivered. Charles shook his head, “c’mon, let’s head back”
Kyli said nothing, but allowed herself to be lead back to the common room.
