[basically, this is in the time taht we skipped]
Kyli was standing in a large room, full of old fashioned paintings and strange magical things… she looked around, and noticed Raika and Té, standing apprehensively I front of a large desk. The teacher behind it was a foreboding character, tall, and fairly muscular. Ugly wrinkles carved grooves into his broad face, and his over-sized forehead was decorated with scars.
“this. Is. The. Third. Time.” He said angrily, slamming his hand down on the desk. “shoot me” muttered Té. The teacher’s beady eyes boiled, “do. You. Not. Understand Carters?” he bellowed, “this is out. Of. Order”
Neither Té nor Raika, who was chewing his lip, but not nervously, seemed the slightest bit bothered. This infuriated the teacher further, “what. Am. I. Supposed to. Do?!” he spat, red in the face now, and sweating around the ears. “how. Can. I. Stop. This?!”
“really sir,” said Raika casually, not the slightest bit fussed by this telling off, “I think that you’re overreacting.”
“Exactly- we only blew up a toilet cubicle”
“ONLY?!” the teacher was fit to burst, “not only is that in itself a huge vandalisation of school property- you neglected to include the fact that there was someone inside!”
“Shoot me” said Té, sarcastically. Raika sniggered. The teacher practically exploded, “I SHOULD EXPEL YOU! YOU’VE CAUSED NOTHING BUT TROUBLE SINCE THE DAY YOU STEPPED FOOT IN THIS SCHOOL”
“Shoot me” said Te again. The teacher slammed his palm on the table, “I HAVE GOT CLOSE” he bellowed.
But still neither Raika nor Té looked the slightest bit fussed. Eventually the teacher finished his rant, “I will put the two of you in detention every Tuesday and if you do not turn up, there will be serious consequences…” He waved a threatening finger.
Raika and Té shrugged, “can we go now?”. The teacher was breathing heavily, and kyli sensed he was about to throw something… but the scene faded, and was replaced with another one.
Raika and té sitting in desk, levitating small bits of paper. Something about the way that Raika was levitating his paper made it seems almost as if it were alive…
A loud noise of a window slamming shut woke Kyli. She stared around.
[and this is a few days after]
a tanned boy was leaning against a pillar, chewing his lip. Beside him stood a taller boy, much paler.
“what’s on your mind Raika” asked the second boy, flicking his fringe out of his eyes.
“do you think it’s possible to…” Raika paused, “bring people back from the dead?”
Té paled, “that’s, seriously dark magic” he said, “fiddly and awkward- nothing like what we’re doing”
Raika sighed, “oh… right”
The scene blurred, and Raika was sitting in a dark room, with a cauldron in front of him, adding some dubious looking ingredients. His eyebrows were moving with concentration, and he kept spilling the potion.
The door banged open, and an attractive look girl was standing in front of him. “Raika!” she said, sounding angry, “what the hell are you doing now?”
Raika shrugged, “potions” he replied, not looking up, not breaking his concentration. The girl sighed heavily, “for goodness sake raika- you’ve been in here for hours!” she clicked her teeth, annoyed, “and everyone else is in Hogsmede”
“go join them then”
“alone!? For goodness sake Raika- are you seriously saying that your stupid potions are more important that your girlfriend?!”
Raika looked apologetic, “no Lorela,” he said wearily, “but I just need to do this…”
The girl’s hands flew up in the air, “this is stupid raika!” She glared at him angrily. “why couldn’t we have just gone at the same time as Té and Imíra?” she snapped.
Raika stopped looking so laid back, “you could try harder to pretend that you don’t want to get off with my best mate y’know” he said angrily.
Lorela looked murderous, “if I wanted that, why would I be going out with you?!”
“Don’t ask me” snapped Raika, “but you can’t deny the fact that you never talk to me properly around him, you’re too busy flirting”
Lorela said nothing for a second, “I don’t flirt with him” she said stiffly. But she was lying, and they could both tell it.
Raika didn’t say anything. Lorela didn’t say anything either. They stared at each other for a few minutes, the silence frosty. Lorela’s eyes were full of impatience and annoyance- but Raika was looking… upset? Angry? Jealous?
Eventually the silence was broken; Lorela sigh again, and then turned around with a flick of her hair and elft the room. Thirty seconds she’d left, Raika dropped his head into his hands, sighing heavily. Through his fingers, Kyli caught a few mumbled words,
“stupid… stupid… typical… Té… unfair… stupid… always the same… stupid, stupid, stupid…”
And then the vision faded.
