Sei felt like gawping. Fortunately he did not and managed to reply.

Was this really Charles speaking? It just couldn't be.

Although it really was only Charles who was the one who couldn't be friendly..

Charles beamed, "great!" he said, excitedly. then paused. what next... hmmm, how about a conversation??? yeh, good idea,"so what you doing up here then?" he asked, casually.

Sei gave him a skeptical look, 'what next? how about a conversation?' he must have been put up to it. Especially as he sounded so happy when he had consented to starting a new page in their 'friendship'.
"Oh, not much." He said, the distrust fairly obvious in his voice, his look still questioning Charles' motives.
"I was just thinking about doing that history of magic homework actually. You?"

He almost laughed. Didn't Charles know that it was even easier to tell if someone was lying in their thoughts than in real life.
"Ok then. I'll be off. I don't know where Cenizo's gone, probably the library, I'll see if Kyli can help me."

He smiled, a cold and staringly obvious fake, and left.
