Sunday the 8th of March 2008 in the Gryffindor common room.
[i'm beginning to get annoyed cus i only have 2 gryffindor characters. . . it's annoying]
Cenizo was sitting in one of the chairs having just finished the homework for tomorrow. He walked back up to the dorm and bought down his diary. It had gathered dust as he hadn't touched it since Christmas. He unlocked its complicated locking mechanism and started to read. Then he got sick of reading his own writing.
He got out his wand and pointed it at the diary. He closed his eyes momentarily, then said the word "Diffindo." a green spark flew out the tip. It touched the book and it flew out of his hands, into the air and shredded itself. He repeated this twice more, then he stood up and put it in the fire. He sat back down feeling more relaxed than he had in a lond time.

Sei came up into the common room from dinner and sat on a sofa that was within talking distance, but not incredibly close, to Cenizo. That way he could watch the fire and not be called unsociable if Cenizo wanted to talk to him.

Cenizo, feeling satisfied, lay back in the sofa and watched the fire burn his diary.

Sei watched the fire burning something that he guessed was some homework that hadn't come out quite as planned. Quietly chewing his lip and listening to the flames crackle gently.

He the corner of his mouth twitched into a small smile, then it was gone. There was nothing to do at Hogwarts any more. The was no nothing. No trouble or anything. What he really needed was a duel. He hadn't had a decent one since he was eight and had beaten his Dad.
He turned and saw Sei staring at the fire in what he thought was the same bored stare that he'd been giving it. "Hey, Sei. You okay?"

"Hmm?" He said, returning from his mini daze. "Yeah, yup. I'm good thanks. You?"

Kyli came into the common room and flopped down, looking around smiling, "hey guys, did you hear" she began, looking at the two boys, both bored out of their wits sitting with faces like smacked bums, "duelling club has been changed to a sunday! so we can like, go today!"

Sei lookde blank for a moment. Then remembered that wizards dueled with wands. . not sword. "Why would you want to go to something like that? Don't you just, hurt each other?"

Cenizo sat up. "Really?" he said smiling.
Kyli ignored Cenizo for a moment, and looked at Sei in indignation, "how can you say that?!" she protested, "duelling is fantastic! it's not just about hurting people- it's about the thrill and excitement as you pratcise your wand work and spell technique- it's amazing!"

He blinked. "So basically. . . you enjoy beating the sh[zz] out of people and calling it sport. . . Wizards are so-"
"Not at all Sei. It's like. . ." Cenizo interrupted, thinking about what muggle sports he knew. "Uh. . . "
"boxing?" charles suggested. cos he hadn't been earwigging on their conversation.
Kyli had no idea what boxing was, guessed that he probably had a point, but glared at him anyway.
Cenizo nodded slowly. "Boxing. . . yeh." 'What the hell is that?'
"It's where people stand around a ring in stupid shorts and punch each other senseless. If thats what dueling is, I'd rather not." Sei replied, now even more convinced that dueling was definately not the sport for him.
Kyli increased her glare power, "it's nothing like that. It's sophisticated, controlled, exciting, and... rockiful!" she said flapping her hands in exasperation, then stopping. hand flapping=elsie=bad... very bad... veeeerrrry bad.
Sei raised an eyebrow. "Ok Elsie. . . Calm dow-"
Kyli opened her mouth to reply, then decided violence would be more fitting, and so leapt up and hit him round the back of the head.
He frowned. "You dont need to hit me! Sheesh. I'll come along for one session, thats it. Completely. End of. I'm not a fan of duelling or anything like it."
kyli had been about hit him again- possibly with a pillow, possibly with a fist- but changed her mind mid-hit and hugged him instead, "yay!"
Cenizo just sat there wishing he could snog him passionatley
Sei was confused by the joy. Perhaps it was just sympathy.. . .
[onwards to the bat cave duelling club.]
