May wasn't stupid, and she was well aware of what Kyli was trying to do. Stepping quickly between her friend and the dorr she leant back against it and folded her arms across her chest, "Kyli, please. Look, I know you're angry, and upset, but that isn't my fault and it isn't Sei's fault. Believe it or not, shutting us out and running away won't make it all go away. Please hun, [yes, I know, any better ideas and she can say something else, but other than refering to her as 'sweetie' (which I sometimes use but only with certain people and when they're upset or it's 3.00 am) or babe (which I know some people use but really isn't May) I haven't got any better ideas!] just listen to us. We're trying to help."

You know where I am if you decide you want to stop shutting us out." She began to walk off towards the common room, knowing she should probably check in Sei was okay but unable to be bothered.

Kyli was sorely tempted to put her head between her knees in an attempt to stop herself being sick. What automated, sickeningly-cliched crap. She picked up the broom, storking the niche in the handle with her forefinger. So much better than annoying ol' May.
