"Oh just shut it, will you?!" Charles said, unleashing his frustration on this annoying cocky first year.
"and who are you to tell me what to do?" Darius said, feeding his ego in the limelight.
"you ought to be careful" retorted Charles. He scowled at darius. Who did this arrogant prat think he was? "you could get hurt talking like that"
Darius scoffed, curling his lip in a smirk, "what, by you?" he jeered.
A combination of rising blood pressure, a need to make a concrete threat and Elsie's twittering comment, forced the words into Charles mind, and he barely realised he was speaking them before he heard them tumble out of his mouth. "no, but I do know Sei Carters"
Darius raised his eyebrows, "who's he, your imaginary friend?"
Charles was incredulous. They hadn't heard the rumours. Well, there was nothing wrong with filling them in... "actually he's the guys in our year who blew up a common room and attacked a fellow student," he said, feeling a thrill at his choosen method of revenge against the guy who was unabashedly stealing his girlfriend. "They say he's mentally unstable" he added, for extra effect.

Sophia felt a sudden leap in her stomach the moment Charles said 'Sei'. By the time he had finished her mouth was agape.
The others were in a similar state.
She tried to form a sentence.
"He did, did what?"

Charles is now basically the center of attention of the four {?} girls and Darius with the addition of Luca who had wandered over at the signs of something interesting happening.

Meally felt her head spinning, she couldn't take it all in...
Charles shrugged, "yeh well, he's been pulling stunts like that ever since he got here" he said, looking nonchalant to maximise the horror of his words, "he set fire to a painting once actually"

Darius said nothing, furiously trying to stop his ears turning red at the feeling of being outsmarted. Meally looked horrorfied, "and to think, my sister hangs out with him!"

Sophia felt stunned to say the least, but felt she should copy Meally's reaction.
"Like, Omigod. That's really scary."
"What else has he done, Charles?"
"-painting on fire!"
"-freaako!"
The first years were begining to gossip.

Charles felt very smug, being centre of attention and all. there was a slight twinge of his conscience, but he dismissed it. the manwhoreish git desrved it.
