The Letter (explainations)

Basicaly, because it's hard to read all the threads in proper chronological order, I've sorted out this letter buisness, so you can read it and understand whats going on. ^-^

• Kyli meets Charles, she finds she has a crush on him, somehow (ask mel) she realises she also has some feelings for Sei when Kik says something to her. This confuses her and she runs off up to her dorm.
  
  
• So she's sitting in bed, trying to figure it out about Sei. They're friends, thats it. But thats the problem, it's not it There's something else there but she doesnt know what.
  
  quotens: kyli made her way up from the common room. Her head was spinning. She straightened down he bed and tidied her beside drawers. Then she flopped onto her bed.
  
  She lay there thinking for a while, then pulled on her pj's. She curled up under the cover, and tried to get to sleep.
  
  But she couldn't sleep. What Kik had said had really messed things up. Her head had been all neatly ordered, and she knew exactly what was going on. Now she had no clue.
  
  She tried to set thoughts straight in her mind.
  
  She wasn't actually in love with anyone. She knew that, or felt confident that she did. And she may have a bit of a crush on Charles, but her and Sei were just good mates. That was how it was. the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. End of story- finit, finissons, finite icantum.
  
  But that wasn't "it". Kyli wished she could only know what "it" was. That would be tremendously helpful. She gazed around the room, hoping that someone would be there who she could talk to.
  
  
  
• Elsie comes in and talks to her, she's very good at getting information out of people. She finds out about Kyli's crush-friendship-feelingy-thing she's got going on for Sei, and is a bit shocked. Sei? How could you think about having a crush on someone that wierd?

  Kyli wasn't sure what to say. Then she stopped. Why was she going to let Elsie decide who she could or couldn't have have a crush on. "what do you mean- sei's to weird" she said slightly angrily.
  
  Elsie raised her eyebrows.
  "You. . Have a crush! On. . Sei!! But he yells at you and is really mean to you all the time!"
  
  
• Then Sei comes in because he's just found out that Kyli ran off up to her room a little distressed. Elsie leaves, giggling and a little afraid of Sei.
  
  
  "Ok! OK! Sheesh! I'm just saying."
  She said getting up and walking away.
  "I just dont think he even has the ability to feel anything in return for you."
  Footsteps could be heard coming up the stairs.
  "He's always blowing stuff up. Just remember that in a few years time when your crying somewhere in a- oh. .Hi. . I was just, I'll. . leave?" Elsie squeaked and vanished down the stairs. Sei shook his head. Great. Someone feared him. He sighed and put a hand up to his rosary for a moment before turning around to talk to Kyli.
  "So. I heard you'd run off upstairs in some kind of hysteria." He said, walking over to stand by her bed.
  
  
• So kyli's a bit stuck (not sure why she cant tell him but it seems to make things a little more interesting) because she now has to come up with a reason for having run off. She put's it down to her crush on Charlie-boy. So Sei sings a lovely little song but it's not well recieved by Kyli.
  
  Sei shook his head.
  "Aww, love is in the air." He mock sang.
  
  kyli laughed, and threw a mock punch, "shut up!"

• But all of this talk of love gets Sei thinking about someone from the non magical world.
  
  quot: "Hey! Arent I allowed to tease you a leeettle bit!"
  He looked at the ceiling for a moment.
  "Do you think muggles can send and recieve letters by owl mail?"
  
  
• Kyli, ever alert, spots immediately that theres a little someone he's missing. He says it's his parents, but Kyli's having none of it.
  
  quootie: Kyli shook her head. "nope- not going to work"
  
  She knew what the truth was. It was blatantly obvious. Sighing, blushing, letter writing. Sei had a crush. On a muggle.
  
  Kyli thought for a second. She didn't feel too bad really. She wasn't exactly jealous- at least she didn't think she was. There was something in the back of her mind, though. A feeling wriggling to be felt. She ignored it. Sei and her were mates, she wasn't going to stop that.
  
  "what's her name?" she said, saving Sei the trouble of admitting it.
  
  
• Sei denies it, but the memory of her just makes him sad.

  "What!"
  His cheeks reddened slightly.
  "No! I dont. . well. No! Kyli! You're so nosy!"
  He looked at the floor.
  "Besides, she'd never take me back."

• Being the wonderful friend she is. Kyli has no problem accepting Sei might not have any feelings for her. . .right.
  que: "Why not?" Kyli asked, curious.
  
  'so he's already had a girlfriend, and he misses her...' SHUT UP
  
  
• So then. . not sure why he decides to share the tragic little story with her. But he does, whoo, big quote time.
  
  beegquote: He sighed.
  "Ok. Ok. . I suppose. But, It's not exactly. ." He sighed.
  "Ok. So. . . About this time last year. ."
  He stopped, he would have to be careful, he didnt want to tell her too much.
  "I was. . my parents moved house, and I started at the local school. On my first day there I was alone, entirely. But the next day I bumped into her. She didnt notice me much, so I thought. She just picked up her books and carried on walking, without even a watch where you're going. We just. . stared, at each other untill the bell went. It was like, breaking some kind of a spell If you'll forgive the cliche." Subconsiously he'd pulled out his rosary from underneath his shirt and was running over the beads whilst staring at the ceiling and leaning against one of the posts on her bed.
  "About a month later, the, bullying started. Small stuff at first. Nothing much, just about my parents. .jobs. Well anyway, it carried on. I never told anyone, I didnt think they'd really care." He sighed. "I got behind on homework. I spent all of my free time either running from my peers or dreaming of her. I couldnt help it. It just seemed like nothing mattered when I looked at her. . .Then I found a way to get to be near to her for longer than just the english and art classes our forms shared. I dont like to admit it, but I was infatuated to the point of obsession. It was about halfway through the year when I discovered the after school arts club. So I joined staright away, knowing that she went to it. She didnt really have many friends there so we soon got talking. It was hard at first. To hide my feelings. I was afraid that if she knew about them she wouldnt want to hang out with me. We never hung out at school. Mainly because by this time everyone thought I was, this wierdo loner kid. And I was, unfortunately. I felt like she was the only thing I had to live for. That and, my religion. I spent every evening except friday at the church, praying for God to let her return my love. Because it had turned into love by then. Every day it got worse. But then, she invited me to her house after the club. I accepted of course and we walked to her place. It was, a little awkward for me. Being alone with her for the first time ever. Her parents where out so she said that when we got hungry we could heat up the pizza her mum had got in the fridge. We talked about the art project we were doing. And. .then." He paused, trying not to redden slightly. "Well. I found out that God had been listening. About a minute later, her brother found us. And, I got a bit beaten up. So I ran. As far away as I could. Then when it got dark I went back home. The next day she wasnt there at school. So. Taking a risk I went to her house when it finished. She was there. Apparently she'd refused to eat a thing. There where only a few months left in the school term so we spent lunchtimes together in secret. My obsession grew so much that I could barely do any work at all. I blamed it on, my parents. . lack. of work. The teachers thought they understood. Sometimes, just so keep our love secret, she had to walk by as I was being beaten up. I didnt mind though. Because I knew that inside she was weeping for me. Weeks passed and we kept it all secret. But she was very pretty, and other boys began to ask her out. I could have killed them all. But she declined. People began to wonder why she wasnt accepting. Especially when the cute boy asked her out. I could see that I wasnt doing her any good, I told her this on one occasion. She denied it and told me she didnt mind if people thought she was some kind of boy phobic lesbian. . . Then I got the letter. From Hogwarts, I thought it was some kind of sick joke. That somehow someone had found out about us and they were trying to split us up. I didnt show her the letter. It was in the summer holidays and she was away in Florida for the rest of the week. So I let her think I'd killed myself. I sent her a message. ." He looked at the floor. "I'm ending my pain tonight." He ran one hand along his rosary beads, still remembering having smashed the phone onto the floor.
  "My parents didnt know about any of this, they just knew I was going to some special school because I apparently had magical powers. So I left it all. . everything. The bullies, the teachers, my obsession with her. . And I doubt she'll have told anyone about me killing myself. She wasnt supposed to have actually known me. So for the rest of the school I'll have just dissapeared. They probably think it's for the better. I can imagine them having little celebrations now that I'm gone. .There was even a rumour that she had started dating that other guy. . ."
  His eyes began to well with tears.
  "I just wanted to know if I could tell her, that I was still alive, and missing her. But. Looking back at it. I dont think she'll be missing me. "
  
  
• So Kyli's a little blown away by this crazy love story, but being a good friend she convinces him to write her a letter.
  
  Quoog:
  "Don't be so hard on yourself!" said kyli, still trying to digest what he'd just said, "look at everything she went through for you- you don't think she'd do that if she didn't really feel for you, do you?"
  
  
  "I guess. But she'd never want me back. I ran away. I told her I was dead and that I'd killed myself because of her."
  He shook his head.
  "She's better off without all the secrets and lies."
  
  
  Kyli shook her head, "look, if what you've told me was true, this girl really cared about you. Hearing about your death was the most tragic thing she could have imagined. And I'm willing to bet that she would happily go with you in all the 'secrets and lies'."
  
  
  Sei sighed.
  "It's worth a try. But I wont see her untill the holidays."
  
  
  Kyli shook her head, "you can't leave her for a whole year thinking you're dead.she have to go through so much grief, and perhaps part of her way of dealing with it will be to pretend she never really cared for you. When she sees you, she'll have "moved on", and she might think you were just playing some kind of sick joke on her"
  
  
  
• Eventually Sei comes around and writes her a letter and waits eagerly for her reply. In the meantime, however. He manages to have a severe allergic reaction to Snoodles, Kyli's mog. This results in the half destruction of the Gryffindor common room and the hospitalisation of Kik, Charles, Cenizo and Sei.
  
  
• Then Saire's reply comes, just read the original The Letter, for all of that.
  
  
  
• Sei is really upset about it and Kyli secretly writes a letter to Saire, the evil cow {talking about saire, not Kyli)
  
  
• Saire replies with even more venom and Kyli sends another letter.
  
  
• Saire, finding out Sei didnt know about Kyli's letters, decides to cause a little trouble and sends him a reply. this is supposedly her first reply. making Sei think that Kyli has been showing him fake letters because [not knowing Kyli has a little thing for him] she doesnt like Saire.
  
  
• Few, all done ^-^ hope it makes more sense.
