Kyli watched Thornton leave the great Hall. She'd regained enough breath to be able to walk back to the common room.
She was going back up the staircases when she bumped into Jaxio. "get out of the way" she said wearily. He stood in the way triumphantly, "give me one good reason"
"because otherwise I will jinx you!" kyli snapped. Jaxio shook his head, "not good enough Rach"
Kyli had had enough. She raised her wand, "Jelitus!"
Jaxio swayed, caught off-guard. His eye flashed angrily as he felt a funny sensation in his toes. The next thing he knew, he was wobblin precariously. "jelly legs?" he spat "That wasn't nice"
he raised his wand, but Kyli dodged past him and said, "not now Jaxio- I'm going to fight you, and I;m going to beat you, but not right now"
Unfortunately, a crowd of people had developed. They wanted to see a fight. Kyli elbowed the first years out of the way, but the older slytherins weren't so easily rid of. "go on, fight!" they were saying. In the end, she kicked one of them in the shin and made a break for it up the stairs.
But she was too late. She arrived just in time to see Sei, Kik, Cenizo and Charles being stretched away. She cursed herself. Her friends had needed her, and she'd f[zz]ed up. great.
She followed the stretchers.
