Anya smiled inwardly.
"I just do. I've always known that i would if i ever made it here. I suppose it's 'cause of my past and my family."
She grimaced at the thought of them.
"So what house are you in and what year?"

Anya laughed.
"Well i'm the age to be in year 2"
She smiled.
"I better not be put in year 1 though as it would be dead easy"

"Yeah...So if you get put in Slytherin, we'd be in the same class!" Jack said happily, then the smile fled off his face. She'd probably think he was a freak soon enough. Then he'd be Jack the loner freak again...

Anya smiled as well.
"Yeh, that would be cool, so then i'd actually know someone for once."
She noticed something was bothering him. She got out of bed and sat on his next to him.
"What's wrong Jack?"
She looked down at him.

"Oh...errr...it's nothing...just don't...never mind." he said giving up. Nothing he said would make a difference. If she became friends with him. She'd be a social outcast as well. No Slytherin wants that. She would find new friends soon enough.

Anya poked him gently.

She bounced on the bed and winced slightly.

Anya looked sad.
"Oh c'mon, i just met someone who i want to be mates with and he just pushes me away when i know something is wrong. Please! i'm not the best at friendships as i never really have any, but honestly i'm trying here!"
She thought she had heard something before which hadn't been spoken, but she dismissed it from her thoughts for now.
