Cenizo got off his broom to stand where the rest of the class were. "I see you've got the same broom as last time!" he whispered to Kik.
Zada was itching to get into the air again. She had been flying since 6 in the morning.
Morfin was looking at his broom wearily. It seemed he had done this thousands of times, and had got bored of it.
Donna was looking at the brooms with keen interest. She had been at the last flying lesson, but hadn't done anything. She'd decided to stay on the ground. Today, she as going to be brave, and actually fly!

''Yeah I have'' Kik whispered back ''I am not going to be beaten!''
The Professor blew her whistle to the already apparently silent class. ''Right class! I think for this lesson we can practice for the assault course next week!''
Kik gaped ''Assault course!'' she squeaked ''On brooms!''

Donna looked around nervously. She hadn't even been on a broom yet. How would she be able to do an assault course!
Zada was looking smug. She would obviously pass. But she had to make sure Kyli didn't! It was important that she was top!
Cenizo looked at the broom in his hand. He hadn't actually mastered flying. At least this was a different broom, and he could at least get a metre off the ground on it. "Don't worry. It'll be fine!" he said. Also trying to convince himself.
Morfin was sitll bored. So there was an assault course. Meh.

"The course is simple!" Pinch said to the class. "You start over there." She said, pointing to a big concreate slab. "Fly up in the air over to that bridge. Then fly through the hole. Turn 180 degrees. Then fly back through the hole. Then, fly up to that ledge." She said, pointing to a ledge that was very high up. "Go through those gold rings. And come back down to the slab. There we go! Simple!"

Kik was wondering how she was supposed to learn how to do that in one lesson and actually do it next week. She along with the rest of the class began to split up into friendship groups. 'Oh sh[zz] Oh sh[zz]' she kept thinking as everyone began flying. ''Argh! This is awful!''. Better get on with it then. She swung one leg over the broom. ''Please work!'' she thought as she placed her hands the way she was supposed too. It was going fine so far. Suspicous though...... she lightly kicked off the ground and the broom did the worst thing yet.
It tore at top speed into the air trying to get her off. writhing around getting higher then lower then twirling and then cartwheeling. Kik was too scared to say anything. When the broom did a straight vertical line up into the air she hugged the broom, terrified of falling off. Then the broom went back to a 5m in the air and begun the process of flinging Kik off.

Kyli kicked off from the ground- pulling ahead of the others. She had the advantage over most people- she had a decent broom. Plus, she was a good flyer...
She zoomed towards the bridge, and looped through the holes. Her turn was smooth and neat, and she headed off to the ledge with ease. She was first, and gave a quick glance arond- where was zada?

Zada was on the ground. She hadn't moved yet. She was waiting for people to move. Why was everyone so slow! She looked around for Kyli. She had already finished. Zada mounted quickly. She flew into the air and headed straight for the bridge. She went through the hole, did a smooth 180, and zoomed back through the hole. Next, she headed for the rings. But instead of just going through them, she had to show off and do loops after every ring.
The teacher looked up and saw Kyli hovering. She asked her to come down. Then she saw Zada. There's always one who doesn't listen!
Cenizo walked over to the slab. He mounted ever so slightly. He was hovering 1m above the ground. Flying over to the bridge very slowly, the broom started to dissagree with him. He managed to get through the bridge, but couldn't turn around. In the end, he reversed though the bridge. The broom vibrated over to the rings, but refused to go through them. He decided to let the broom off for today, and went around the rings instead. He landed back on the slab. The whole thing had lasted 5 minutes.

Donna was looking at her broom. It was on the floor. She looked around for the teacher. She was talking to Kyli. Donna hastily picked up her broom. It vibrated suddenly, and flew out of her hands. It was on the floor again, 6m away. She walked over to it. This time she would do it properly. "UP!" she shouted. The broom shuddered, then levitated very slowly. Donna smiled. This must be good. She looked at what everyone esle was doing. They all had their legs over their brooms. She did the same, then kicked off. She soared slowly into the air. Soon she was flying at snail's pace towards the bridge. The broom wouldn't let her go through the bridge, but it went over it. She turned it around and very slowly set off again for the hoops. She went through the first. The broom shuddered. Then stopped before she could get through the next one. It was now hovering above the ledge. A queue was building up behind her. She veered to the side, and the broom happily glided back to the concrete slab. She got off, shaking slightly, she sat on the nearest bench.

Morfin was leaning on his broom. Flying lessons were so boring if they didn't challenge you. He doubted that they would only challenge him when he got into year 7. By then he'd probably not even like flying!
