Kyra knew it was wrong to come into the forbidden forest but she didn't particularly care at the moment. She stumbledalong blindly the only evidence of her distress was the letterclutched in her hand. Her make-up was smudged her hair was tousled and her hands were badly scratched from pushing branches out of her way. She came to a clearing and sat on the ground and re-read the letter again

How is it going at Hogwarts? We hope you are doing well in your studies! Your father and I hae been having a terrifc tim ehere in Brazil! The MoM is sending your father lots of recognition and he's received a promotion! Isn't that fantastic!
With your fathers promotion, comes his own personal choice of where he would like to live. We've chosen... Mexico! Won't it be exotic?! Sweetie- we're sorry but we can't take you out of your education so we won't be able to see you unless we find special need. Your brothers will come and liv with us because their careers can be a succes in Mexico and they aren't in scool any more. You can continue staying with Simon and Keep in touch by owl.

Kyra made lots of sniffing noises because her eyes were all cried out. This was it. This was her family getting rid of her. She wasn't wanted.

Jack was lying on the ground next to a clearing. He heard a noise and sat up quickly, pulling out his wand. "Lumos." he whispered. He headed over to the clearing, where the noise was coming from. But it wasn't an animal. It was someone, and were they crying? He took another step closer and recognised Kyra.
"Oh my god Kyra. Are you okay?" he said running forward.

Kyra looked drew her knees to her chin and kept sniffling and hiccuping letting out a "N-No" sort of noise

Jack sat down next to her.
"Do you want to tell my what's wrong?" he asked quietly.

"You were talking about your parents, right?" he asked sympathetically.

Kyra nodded letting out a small hiccup "here" she muttered and passed him the scrunched up letter she had got

Jack took the letter and read it quickly.
'Ouch'
"Why do they do this to you? This isn't how parents should act." he said angrily.

Kyra said "Well. Maybe... Maybe they *huccup* aren't the ones who are *hiccup* doing it wrong" She said

Jack raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean? Nobody else gets treated like this. They're wrong. They should've chosen England! Or if not, at least some country close by!"
