Kyli was fed up. Maybe she should go to the common room and look for May. She took a last bite out of her muffin, and left.

It was now half seven. Cenizo and Kik were just standing up to go and talk to Professer Saul. [soz 4 p-p] Most of the students were either in the Great Hall eating, or entering the Great Hall, about to eat. But one boy was walking up to the school. He threw open the huge oak doors and stood there, drenched in rain.

Cenizo heard the wind howling outside. Someone was standing in the entrance hall. They had missed the sorting, and the first day. They were very late. Cenizo, like many others, was running to get a good look at who was late.

Kyli was walking through the entrance doors when the boy arrived. He was sopping wet, but he wasn't undignified about it. His cold, shallow eyes peirced her own, and he stared down at her. she recognised that thin lipped smile... she was sure of it.

"hey" she said nervously, aware that the boy was centre of attention, "is there a particular reason that you're late and sopping wet?"

Kyli was taken aback at his rudeness, but she realised where she'd seen that face before. It looked remarkably like the portait of Salazar Slytherin that she remembered seeing in Jaxio's house. what if he was... surely he couldn't be...?

[professer thornton] Instead of looking offended that the boy was so rude, he walked over to him. "Slytherin!" he said happily. "Thought you'd missed my letter!"

Kyli stifled a gasp, he was! She realised he was ignoring her. Well, she expected it...
out of the corner of her eye, she saw Jaxio coming towards them. Equally typical.

[Slytherin] "Nearly did. I was just about to go to Durmstrang. Dad insisted I wait for the letter. 'It'll come soon!' he kept on saying. I grew impatient Thornton. Nearly didn't come!"
